About the WSC Wilderness Survival School

WSC (Wilderness Survival Challenge School Inc.) is a specialized progressive school, operating out of Kitchener, Ontario (near Toronto), in Canada, whose prime focus is the instruction of wilderness survival skills. Our goal is the prevention of unnecessary loss of life when persons become lost or stranded, as well as the enjoyment and the adventure of being in a wilderness setting.

Our regular medium is adult-level college courses, and we also work extensively with camps, children, family camping, and corporations. This includes many corporate staff, management, and executive leadership and team-building programs, in the forest. We provide comprehensive survival training for pilots, armed services, camp leaders, and search&rescue personnel.

Recently our School was selected by the Canadian government to establish standards for survival training for Canada. This we will be doing in conjunction with the Coast Guard, Emergency Measures Organization, and Canadian Search and Rescue.

Located in southern Ontario, in Canada, we conduct most of our wilderness trips are in the region of the famous Algonquin Park, and the Georgian Bay area beside Lake Huron.
